One of our readers, Texan Democrat, is having a writing contest for all EntreCard members on the topic of Martin Luther King, Jr. The question is: “What would the world be like if Martin Luther King Jr was still around?” If you are interested in participating, please visit his discussion forum (link) in the EntreCard site. And while you are there, take time to read the submissions by other participants for what others think the world might be like today. Enjoy!

If Dr. King were still around, we might have come to the point we’re at today a bit sooner. With his calls for equality, and his ability to reach out and touch everyone, we’d possibly have gotten rid of white male stereotypes for President years earlier.
We’d certainly see less distrust in younger people, bred from assassinations and divisive politics in the U.S.
Outside the U.S., MLK is held in great esteem. Perhaps he’d have been able to help the U.S. image, which has been considerably tarnished lately.
