A quarter million and going strong

I guess today is “pat myself on the back day.”  There is a service that you might have noticed displayed in my “Badges” section in the sidebar called BlogBurst.  What BlogBurst does is exposes your blog material to the professional media organizations.  If the media likes the article written, they can take the article and run it on their website, giving you greater exposure.

For the past three months that I have been involved with this service, many of my articles have been picked up and ran on services such as Reuters, the Wall Street Journal, FOX News, and the Chicago Sun Times just to name a few.  This weekend, I am proud to announce that I passed 250,000 total views on the Reuters news service.  I am not a writer by any means, so reaching such a high mark is a personally humbling and exciting.  Thank you to Reuters and all the readers of Reuters.com, as well as BlogBurst, for making this happen.  You have made my day!

Here is just some of the articles that were a hit on Reuters:
Election projection as of August 21st
Fannie, Freddie … meet FEDDIE!
Open letter to Barack Obama
Democratic National Convention revisited

Republican National Convention kickoff

  1. The BoBo says:

Awesome! After you commented at my place – I went out and applied. I’ll let you know how that goes. Considering who picks up the stories – despite the occasional well put together post I might have up there – they might disagree with my blog style and theme! LOL.

    We’ll see!

  2. It never hurts to try, especially when the service provided is free. :)
