Ok, so this has nothing to do with Politics … other than it has kept me away this week from posting articles and yesterday’s Political Blog Weekly (which I will type up tomorrow).
First, I started out with a bunch of felt (using Ivory and Camel colors to mimic natural skin tones):

Secondly, I cut out the patters for the head and sew them together:

Lastly, I attached the bodies and added hair and eyes:

There will be clothing added to the puppets, but that will be done next week. Hope this made you grin. Have a great weekend!

That makes me want to finish a Pinocchio puppet, which I started and never finished when my daughter was small. Made a very nice, large papier mache head and even painted it, but never went beyond that.
Back to work. Need some wood parts for the body and a way to figure out how to make his nose grow
Hmmm… you can always incorporate a wooden hydraulic system in the head. I’m sure I have the schematics for one in my engineering or political science texts.
