The Oval Office gets a make-over

Without getting into the cost and the necessity of change, one of the things I like about “new” Presidents is the changes made to the Oval Office. Today, we are getting pictures of the new look chosen by the Obama Administration for the Oval Office, and I must say I like it.

In a change from the “classical” look that President Bush used (with light blues and off-whites), Obama has gone with natural tones. As you can see in the comparison pictures in the link below, the office has incorporated tan and olive green hues, giving the room a warmer feel. Now, if only I had the budget to redo my living space as the Presidents do…

  1. Harrison says:

I liked the rug Bush put in better. Obama's office looks like a Pottery Barn store.

  2. Yeah, I enjoyed the star-burst design of the old rug. It was a nice touch. Not too bold, not too soft.
