Welcome to October, everyone! Where has this year gone? It feels like it should still be July. Oh well, time must go on!
Since Entrecard has gone the way of the dinosaurs, I had the “great” idea of merging my Entrecard Political blogs together with the RSS feed of other political blogs I followed. Well, I just counted the number of blogs that had new content for September, and it came up to 90 blogs! 90 blogs! That is more than I was expecting.
If I were to make a single Newsletter containing all of those entries, I fear you might be overwhelmed and/or bored you, so I am trying to come up with alternatives. 28 of the blogs have 5 or less entries, so I think I might break up the “monthly” newsletter into a “weekly” one instead. But should I do that using the articles from September or start new with the new entries coming in this week?
Another thing I may do is try to group like-articles together into individual posts and then save the odds-and-ends for a separate newsletter. This will require additional work as I will need to keep track of which sites I cite for each month. (Not impossible, just more work.)
A third option (which I would rather not choose) is to limit the entries to just items that relate to the United States. While the purpose of this blog is to discuss US politics, I do believe it is an added benefit to see what our friends from around the world are discussing. Our nation does not operate in a vacuum after all.
Let me know what you think I should do. If there is an option I haven’t thought of, drop a recommendation as well. I’m always opened to new ideas.
Thanks everyone!

All are great ideas. However, I wouldn’t start with September – unless you include just the last week of the month going forward. I like the idea of a weekly article with like posts grouped together.
Thanks, BoBo. I think I’m leaning in that direction. Plus, by doing it weekly, it will be easier to grab the sites with a single article, and then search the sites with multiple articles for similar stories.
