This is the first issue of the non-Entrecard Politics Newsletter. For a “weekly” Newsletter, I collected over forty entries for you to check out. Some of the entries were easy to choose from (the authors wrote only one article during the week), where others were harder due to multiple quality entries. I discovered in my extensive list of RSS feeds that some of the sites were either “professional” political blogs with many writers or ones that flooded their own site with content that was simply cut-and-pasted from other news outlets. Since the point of this newsletter is to bring the more-personal blogs to the masses, I removed the larger sites from the pool of blogs I reference.
I could have easily built a newsletter simply around the first Presidential Debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. It seemed that almost every blog I examined (even the international blogs) were writing about it. In the end, I limited the selection to only fifteen.
