There is a time and a place to protest…
… and that time and place is NOT during the naturalization ceremony of individuals who have spent many years of study and testing and heartache to achieve the dream of becoming an American citizen. While I can’t say for sure who these protestors belong to, one of them does look like a member of Code Pink; the vocal anti-war group. How would these individuals feel if people came and protested at their wedding ceremonies or college graduations? They would be quite frustrated and angry, correct? So what makes them so special that they think they could protest during one of the most important and proud moments of these individuals rights?
These self-absorbed individuals need to issue an apology to all the men and women who were sitting there, anxiously waiting to raise their hands and take the oath to become a U.S. citizen and embrace the freedoms that these protestors take for granted on a daily basis, and they should be taken to task for their actions. However, I don’t think they care about anyone else but themselves.
