Global Warming Ironies
I have often wondered why global warming advocates plan major hearings and meetings during the winter months. Are they hoping it will be unusually warm the day of their meeting so they can use it as an example of how bad global warming has become? If so, the plan has backfired – not once but twice.
President Obama flew in to Copenhagen last week to address the global warming conference. As he spoke, Copenhagen was experiencing near-record lows with snow falling outside of the conference with a blizzard conditions brewing. Obama flew back to the US with a sub-par agreement in hand, only to experience an unusual blizzard in Washington, DC. Current reports indicates that 20 inches of snow has fallen in the past 24 hours – more than the past few years combined.
As someone watching the new channels discussing the global warming conference with images of a blizzard in DC in the background, I find the irony all too humorous. How can I take the fear of global warming seriously when Obama keeps finding himself in blizzards? Is it coincidence or something else?
