About

Welcome to the US Common Sense blogs.  The purpose of this blog is to take a non-partisan view of our current local, state, and federal government policies and actions to determine if they actually benefit or hurt us as a nation.  Many men and women enter into politics to make a positive change but unfortunately find themselves pulled into the modern partisan divide.  This partisanship causes well-intentioned policies to be perverted and create more problems than actually solving them.  By educating ourselves on the issues, we will be better prepared to inform our elected officials of our recommendations and desires to improve our lives and laws.  You are encouraged to participate in the blogs since through diverse views we are able to get a better picture of each issue as they arise.

  • I can appreciate what you are attempting. I just speak out for myself, trying to use a little common sense in approaching the many things coming out of Washington. I am conservative, who happens to be Republican.

I, too believe in taking the non partisan view and looking at issues with the country foremost.

But unfortunately, the real world is waiting to pounce. Elected officials don't always listen or care. Depending on the persons viewpoint, what one thinks is for the good of the country may lead us away from our founding principles.

I think we owe a loyalty to our country and our Constitution.

In that framework, we should however explore all sides and govern For The People.

My blog is www.freethinkingadult.blogspot.com I look forward to joining in your debates.
